Plymouth City Council are debating a motion on Monday 25th September on potential support/endorsement for the GMB pay pinch campaign to end the public sector pay cap. The council meeting starts at 2pm but we don't expect this will be debated until around 4pm at the earliest.

We are looking to get some GMB members and reps in the public gallery of the council chamber with GMB logos visable during the debate. If any of you are in the area please consider if you could attend. The Labour Party are supporting the motion, and the Conservatives are considering voting in favour too, but we are not certain of this yet, so any visible support would be good. The three UKIP councillors have now all defected to the Conservatives.

The Council House is situated opposite the GMB Plymouth Office, and the reception will direct you to the public gallery.
